Challenge #99- Thank You with Something New

Happy New Year everyone! For our first challenge of 2016, Kim  is challenging us to make a thank you card using something new.

First, please welcome our wonderful Guest Designer:

Maaike

Hi.
I’m Maaike (my-kuh) and I am 46yrs old.
Since five years , when I was made redundant, I’ve picked up crafting more and more, I’ve always crafted, remember cards wit teabags? And as a photographer photos featured heavily on my cards until I got into stamping and coloring.
Somewhere in the 80’s I went to art school and I still have some of those supplies, believe it or not.
Beginning 2015 I discovered the World of blog challenges, and I love joining each and every one of them! There’s millions I suppose, but I like the ones I take part in and find it plenty.
I’ve made numerous new (cyber) friends, and although we’ve never met I enjoy visiting their blogs and when they call at mine.
I also have an allotment garden I spend a lot of time, with my cats if they want to come.
I’m a  volunteer for a creative group at the local community centre and I cook for 8 single/older
people every week so they come together at my house for a spot of eating and socialising.
I’m single, over 40 and have two cats…make of it what you will ;-)

Here's what the DT have made:

Sandie

We will be choosing  a top pick/s from this challenge and inviting one entrant to join us as a Guest Designer.

We're sorry that we may not be able to comment on cards that are uploaded to galleries where we have to register to comment (eg Splitcoast Stampers), or where word verification is enabled. When we can view your card, however, we will still consider it for our top picks.

great dt cards! I went to art school in the 80s too and still have some of my supplies, even though I switched schools and majors. That quality stuff holds up! great interview :)

A new year is a time for firsts, as reflected in your challenge inspiration, and this is the first time I have entered one of your challenges! Some fabulous cards from the DT and a great theme! Thanks, Stef x
