Inkspirational Challenge #321 - Word Prompt - Woodland

Welcome back to Inkspirational; we're delighted you're joining us.

Our Word Prompt challenge for the next two weeks is: WOODLAND.  A dictionary definition describes woodland as an area covered with woods, trees and/or shrubs. While a 'woodsy' card/project is a fabulous fit, we also encourage you to consider wider  (and possibly even more 'fun') definitions.

  • How about the flora (wildflowers, mushrooms, etc), and fauna (forest creatures - bears, moose, deer, bunnies, hedgehogs, snails...) that can be found in woodlands. Baby nurseries/cards are often fabulous sources of woodland inspiration.
  • Or, perhaps the  'magical' beings that inhabit woodlands: fairies, elves, gnomes, ogres?
  • What about activities that occur in/around woodlands: outdoor skating, sledding, nature walks?

With these as just a snippets of ideas, it's time to turn the challenge to the Design team and to you.

Design Team inspiration:

Looking forward to seeing where your Woodland wanders take you!

The Link is open until Friday, Aug. 9th 2 11:59pm (GMT).

We'll be back next Saturday, Aug. 3, with a Reminder Post and Top Picks for Challenge #320.

Inkspirational Challenge #318 - Mood Board

Welcome back to Inkspirational; we're delighted you're joining us.

Our mid-June (already!) inspiration for the next two weeks comes from the Mood Board you see below.

Top Picks Challenge #316 and Reminder Post - Challenge #317 - Word Prompt - Frame

Welcome to our two part post.

First, a reminder that you have until Friday, June 14th at 11:59 pm (GMT) to play in Challenge #317 - Word Prompt - Frame - found HERE.  At the time of writing this post, we have 21 fabulous entries! Thank you to those who have joined us! Let's keep those frames coming!

For more inspiration, Nonni has created this delightful, smile-making, frame-filled card:

Second, even though the numbers were low for Challenge #316 - Spotlight Technique, closing with 13 entries, this is a case where quality certainly outdid quantity. The cards shared were top-notch, making for very difficult decisions in choosing which ones to highlight. A huge Thank You to those who shared their creativity. As much as we wish we could put all of you in the *spotlight*, we do have to narrow down to three.

Our Top Picks:

Nancy's stylish card caught our eye, with her modern flower, colours and design/placement choices. So very pretty.

We're dazzled both by the pretty autumn scene Rachel created and the techniques she used to do so. Her spotlight panel is an eye-catching delight.

Caroline
Even though Caroline claims she's 'not good at colouring', we disagree: her colouring is fabulous, especially for this sweet image! Her spotlight technique offers a wonderful work-around for stamps that we may find intimidating to colour.

Congratulations to our Top Picks; please take your badge.
