Challenge #69- Word Prompt - Shine

What wonderful entries there were into our photo challenge! Thank you to all who took part. Now, please join us for our new challenge , which is a word prompt, and the word is: Shine.

I know that shine can be hard to photograph, so if your shine is not obvious, please do add a note when you display our link.

Someone whose shine really shines through is our fabulous Guest Designer :

Thanks to the encouragement of a 'make do and mend' family I have tried many crafts from an early age. My knitting is still suspect but I like to think my papercrafting is better. I love to try new things but I usually end up coming back to paper, there is so much you can do with it, I never get bored. I am honoured to be asked to make a guest project here at Inkspirational, it means a great deal to be recognized by fellow crafters, thank you.

Please do visit Rocky's blog , where she will be posting a tutorial on the techniques she's used for her project.

Now here's some ideas from our Design Team:

We will be choosing  a top pick/s from this challenge and inviting one entrant to join us as a Guest Designer.

Top Picks #67 Color Challenge

Current challenge HERE.

Thank you to all of our entries from the purple and grey/silver challenge! We really enjoyed visiting your blogs to see your work. Here are the top picks:

Marika

We loved Marika’s beautiful design, her use of woodgrain, and her color choices. Plus, her flowers are gorgeous!

 Karen

We found Karen’s soft masked background to be the perfect backdrop for her beautiful butterfly. Her design is great and we just love the overall feel here!

Deepti

Deepti created such a dramatic card with fantastic drawn trees, a great use of vellum, and an overall great theme for the challenge!

Congratulations to our winners!

Challenge 68 - Photo inkspiration

Welcome back to Inkspirational - I hope you like the Inkspirational photo we've chosen. I hope it inkspires you to make a project . Although most of the DT have gone with the owls theme (and you can't really get too many owls) , you could be inspired by the wool, the colours, the patterns ...anything.  Just, if it's not obvious, do say how you've been inspired. All types of handmade project are welcome.

Please welcome our talented Guest Designer, Maura

About 7 years ago, a good friend of mine asked if I wanted to join a card-making club with fellow teachers from my school.  I thought to myself, hmmm, not so sure about the card-making, but it would be great to do something fun with my colleagues.  Little did I know… I loved the time with friends, but fell head over heels in love with card-making, and as they say….. the rest is history (Can you say, “addiction”?)!!  I love everything about this hobby - the creativity, the colors, the music I listen to when I craft, the shopping for supplies, and the sharing of my cards with friends - hobbies just don't get much better than this in my book!
